Layer Cakes and Celebration Cakes!
We are a Cake Company rather than just a cupcake company not becuse we have abandoned our fabulous cupcakes but because we love cake of all kind. Our celebration cakes are mostly layer cakes which are made with attention to detail and with lovely fresh ingredients.So what do we mean by Layer Cake???Here at Honeybunch we are all about celebrating the small rounded pleasures of life so our cakes usually comes in a6 (serves 4-6)7 (serves 8-12), or8 (serves 12-20) inch widths.....but the joy comes when the cakes are 3 or 4 layers of sponge with our own soft frostings and creams sandwiched in between and the opportunity to finish the cakes in a traditional celebration style with fondant and decoration....or just covered in frosting and curls all ready for a tea time treat! But for larger parties or for the hungry out there we make cakes as big as 14 inches tooFlavours!The most popular flavour Layer cakes, as always, have been Chocolate, Vanilla, and Lemon.......but there are so many to choose from...with Walnut and Coffee making a surprising entry in the charts, and Cranberry and White Chocolate being a definite winner! However, if you are a fan of the traditional flavoured sponges why not marry up the Coca Cola Chocolate sponge with fresh raspberry buttercream? Or the lemon sponge with a tart homemade Lemon curd and a soft meringue covered in coconut???The sky's the limit so if you fancy something different let us know. We love to research a new recipe and give it our special Honeybunch twist!
